Mental Health Counseling Services at UMFK is committed to serving our students to help deal with and manage any mental health concerns and symptoms. The mental health counselor’s focus is to provide a supportive, confidential setting for students to address their issues. These appointments can serve a range of needs from personal, non-clinical counseling to more elevated concerns requiring clinical mental health therapy.

Jessica's Office

Jessica’s office is located within the Student Success Center, which endorses the ideas of helping students eliminate academic and emotional barriers, to support students to persist to graduation.

The hours my office is open for student sessions is from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Additional hours are utilized for documentation as well as phone and email communication. All appointments can be made via my booking page.

Other Providers

UMFK can access other Mental Health Support through our off campus health affiliates Fish River Rural Health.  Students can schedule appointments by contacting their office at (207) 834-3971.  Fish River will be making transportation available to students who do not have a way to get to appointments.  For more information about Fish River Rural Health check out their website: https://frrh.org/

Additionally, UMFK has connected with an online mental health & wellness platform entitled Uwill. Uwill helps provide immediate choices for students needing access to mental health services without any barriers. To access this service, you can register for services via the Uwill App. Uwill has also introduced Uhelp, a direct crisis connection, allowing individuals facing trauma to connect with a licensed therapist trained in crisis 24/7/365. Uhelp changed the landscape for students in crisis.

For more information about Uwill, please visit Jessica Daigle or the Student Affairs office for informational sheets about this service.
