Mental Health Counseling Services at UMFK is committed to serving our students to help deal with and manage any mental health concerns and symptoms. The mental health counselor’s focus is to provide a supportive, confidential setting for students to address their issues. These appointments can serve a range of needs from personal, non-clinical counseling to more elevated concerns requiring clinical mental health therapy.
Jessica’s office is located within the Student Success Center, which endorses the ideas of helping students eliminate academic and emotional barriers, to support students to persist to graduation.
The hours my office is open for student sessions is from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Additional hours are utilized for documentation as well as phone and email communication. All appointments can be made via my personal availability link.
Please also note that there are other licensed providers, which UMFK students can access for Mental Health Counseling Support. Any student can contact the Student Health Clinic through appointments with NMMC by calling (207) 834-6784 and asking for a Behavioral Health Appointment. Students should be clear that they are a UMFK student and arrangements for a ride via shuttle can be provided through the Office of Student Affairs.
Additionally, UMFK has connected with an online mental health & wellness platform entitled Uwill. Uwill helps provide immediate choices for students needing access to mental health services without any barriers. To access this service, you can register for services via the Uwill App.
For more information about Uwill, please visit Jessica Daigle or the Student Affairs office for informational sheets about this service.
